Election Countdown: Two Weeks To Go!
Endorsements
This Wednesday, 11/18, 2:00 p.m. at the Roswell City Hall Rotunda, I will be holding a press conference to announce the endorsements of Steve Dorvee, former council member; Ed Tate, former council member; Kristen Riley, former council member; and Shawn Hanley.
Monday night Councilman Igleheart announced that he was voting for me on December 1st. These endorsements, along with the endorsement of Councilwoman Lori Henry, prove that I have the respect of the council members with whom I have served and that I have the ability to be their leader and the leader of the City of Roswell.
Help Wanted
I need your help now. Please:
1. Put out “Jere Wood for Mayor” yard signs. Signs are available any time from the breezeway at my law office, 1173 Canton Street.
2. Help us make phone calls to voters over the next two weekends, between 2:00 and 6:00 p.m., from a computerized phone bank which does everything but talk for you. Let me know if you can help, even if only for a short time.
3. Please send an e-mail to your friends and neighbors beginning, “I am voting for Jere Wood because ...”. Then on November 30th remind them to vote. Send me a copy of the endorsement letter with your photo to post to my website. We already have 29 letters and photos on our website. If everyone sends out e-mails, we will win.
Volunteer Meeting
You are invited to a volunteer meeting this Thursday evening, 7:00 p.m. at Raiford Gallery. Lori Henry is also inviting all her supporters.

LAST WEEK
On Friday I spoke to the cub scouts at the Roswell United Methodist Church, where I was a cub scout 50 years ago. Then I cheered Roswell High to a first-round overtime victory in the playoffs. On Saturday I had a Thanksgiving lunch at Groveway, judged a chili cook-off at Killer Creek Harley, and then joined 15 volunteers to make phone calls. Unfortunately the computer system was down, so we will have to make more calls next weekend. On Sunday I took a day off to catch up with legal work that had a deadline in the morning, and that afternoon took my niece, Jere, her husband Gregg, Judie, and my sister Mary Jo to Cavalia. On Monday I met with Lori Henry and Martin's Landing homeowners to develop a strategy to overturn the State’s requirement that Martin’s Landing rebuild their dam. Then I attended Kent Igleheart’s press conference to accept his endorsement, followed by the city council meeting.
Vote December 1st.
It’s All Good!
