Election Day Countdown: Three Days to Go!

Vote

Roswell is a well-run city, and I believe a majority of its citizens support me, so it’s all about getting them to turn out to vote. If you are voting Tuesday, offer to give family and friends a ride to the polls and remind your neighbors to vote.

We plan to have people at major intersections and near polling places waving "Jere Wood for Mayor" signs, reminding people who to vote for. Please call my office if you can help wave signs on Tuesday.

T-shirts

"Jere Wood for Mayor" T-shirts are available Saturday at Raiford Gallery on Canton Street if you can wear one while trick-or-treating.

Upcoming Events

You are invited to my law office, 1173 Canton Street, election night after the polls close at 7:00 p.m. to follow the election returns. Please R.S.V.P. if you plan to come.

Last Week

Wednesday - I stopped by St. George Village and partied with their residents. Next I was the guest of Barry and Jennifer Northenor at Brookfield Country Club for their family Halloween party. Then I went to the Jaycees Haunted House in Alpharetta and the Haunted Manor on Fouts Road. If you want to get into the spirit of Halloween, I recommend both haunted houses.

Thursday - I welcomed Paul Howard, the Fulton County District Attorney’s office, police officers representing every police department in Fulton County, and crime victims to Roswell City Hall to recognize our law enforcement officers, citizen heros, and survivors of crimes in Fulton County. Next I met with Wendell Willard and staff to make arrangements for state loans to repair Category One dams in Roswell. That evening I attended a Candidates Forum sponsored by Groveway Community Club and went to Roswell Historical Society’s Celebrity Roast of Pastor Frank Lewis, Bob Farley, and Joan Hilliard.

Friday - I read “How to Bake an American Pie” to the students at Esther Jackson Elementary School, judged a pumpkin carving contest at Atlanta Academy on Holcomb Woods Parkway, walked home with the kids from Sweet Apple Elementary School, tended bar at Diesel, and went to the Centennial High School football game.

Closing

Thank you again for all of your help. Roswell is a great place to live because of people like you.

Please forward this to your friends and neighbors and remind them to vote Tuesday.

It’s all good!

Jere Wood
