Election Count Down: 6 Days To Go!

The election is this coming Tuesday, so I need your help now with phone calls, yard signs, and e-mails.

Calls

We will be calling voters again this coming Sunday, 11/1, between 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. If you have an hour or more to help, please let me know. Last Sunday we made more than 2,500 calls, won over a lot of voters, picked up more than 75 yard sign locations, and we had fun in the process. I f you cannot help us Sunday afternoon but can make calls from home, please let me know and I will e-mail you a list of people that are very likely to vote in this upcoming election, together with a suggested calling script.

Signs

Tuesday morning, 11/3, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. we will be waving signs at major intersections. Let me know if you can help.

Please put up a "Jere Wood for Mayor" sign in your yard to let your neighbors know who to vote for. Come by my office to pick up yard signs, or e-mail me at yardsigns@mayorwood.com and we will put up the signs for you.

Vote

You can vote all this week at the North Fulton Annex between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3rd, the polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Vote at the location you normally vote for national and state elections.

LAST WEEK

Last Tuesday, it seems like a month ago, the Roswell Woman’s Club held its debate. This debate is being rebroadcast on RCTV. Wednesday there was a great turnout for the Cultural Arts Board lunch recognizing all of the arts and cultural groups that make Roswell a great place to live. On Thursday I attended the North Fulton Bar Association meeting and I met the neighborhood at Roberto Paredes’ residence on Connemara Drive. On Friday I read to kids during Esther Jackson Elementary School’s Fall Festival, and then had the privilege of watching Roswell High School beat Milton to remain undefeated. On Saturday morning I helped Keep Roswell Beautiful clean up our City, then Saturday evening Judie and I attended the Georgia Ensemble Theatre’s One Enchanted Evening event to honor Bob Hagan and Kimberly-Clark. On Sunday morning I attended Mount Zion and Mount Pisgah Churches, and in the afternoon we made phone calls using the Republican Party’s telephone system for the first time. It was a breakthrough in the campaign. I’m feeling very good about the campaign after Sunday’s calls.

Thank you for all of your help. I could not do it without you. Please forward this to your friends and remind them to vote on November 3rd.

It’s all good!

Jere Wood
