We need volunteers for Alive After 5 this Thursday, October 15th, 5:00 through 8:00 p.m. Don Sinisi will be giving away shaved ice to everyone who signs up for our e-mail list. Please e-mail us at mayorwood@mayorwood.com if you can volunteer an hour of your time.

I am mailing a letter asking all our supporters to mail a note to your friends and neighbors in support of my campaign. If you can help and you need envelopes, cards, or postage, please contact campaign headquarters at mayorwood@mayorwood.com or come by my law office and pick them up.

I hope you join me for the Mayor’s BBQ Ball and Contest this Saturday, October 17th, at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $25.00 in advance, $30.00 Saturday night. Go to Star House Foundation’s website and click on the star to purchase tickets via Pay Pal, or come by my law office for tickets.

LAST WEEK (10/5)

Mayor Wood biking the
Youth Day Parade

Rain cancelled out the walk with kids to Sweet Apple and our Twilight Cruise but held off for the annual Youth Day Parade. I was in the parade twice, first on horseback and then on bicycle. Afterwards, I helped serve at the 59th Annual Masonic Barbecue; it keeps getting better all the time.

On Sunday, 200 people showed up for the East Roswell Forum at Centennial High. To see a draft of my opening remarks, go to my blog at http://www.mayorwood.com.

Please forward this to your friends and neighbors.

Its All Good!

Jere Wood
