Mayor Wood's Holiday Message

I'm Voting for Jere Wood

Untitled Document

I am supporting Mayor Jere Wood because I have known and watched him make our community east of Georgia 400 a safer place to live.  Mayor Wood has been proactive in placing both a Police and Fire Station here on Holcomb Bridge Road.

Martin's Landing Dam Alert

MARTIN'S LANDING DAM ALERT

Martin's Landing Dam after the September 2009 floods.

Our dam does not need to be replaced, Georgia's Safe Dams Program does. The "Millennial" flood this September proved that the Martin's Landing dam is safe. We do not need to fix our dam. We need to assemble the best team we can to fight the flawed ruling by Georgia's Safe Dams Program that requires us to rebuild our dam.

Mayor Jere Wood has joined council members Lori Henry and Kent Igleheart to chart a winning strategy and he has already begun negotiations with our state legislators to overturn Safe Dams' ruling. We need to keep Mayor Wood on our team and in the fight to save our dam. Please join your friends and neighbors and vote to re-elect Mayor Jere Wood this coming Tuesday, December 1st.

Council Member Lori Henry Council

          Member Kent Igleheart.

MAYOR WOOD IS THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR MARTIN'S LANDING

Mayor Wood has a strong 12-year record of fighting for what he believes. You know where he stands, he welcomes debate, and once a decision is reached, he supports that decision. Mayor Wood has established connections with State Officials, whose help we need, and he has the time to fight for us.

Mayor Wood's opponent has never been a fighter. Mr. Tolleson has a ten-year record of never taking a stand. Mr. Tolleson does not have the time to fight Safe Dams; he has a full time job in Dunwoody. Mr. Tolleson's solution is to accept Safe Dam's ruling against us, and for us to borrow money from the city to fix the dam ... an alternative he knows the city attorney has already rejected as unconstitutional.

Vote to re-elect Mayor Wood on December 1st and continue the fight to save our dam.
