The Text of Lori Henry's Endorsement

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the dedicated volunteers who have put their faith in me. It is humbling. The last couple of months have been enriching and rewarding not only because of the friendships we have formed but also because our message has been strong, clear and well received.

One of my former opponents recognized the strength of our message and very graciously reached out to me immediately following the election. Mayor Jere Wood. Please join me in supporting Mayor Wood in this next month to ensure that all of our hard work was not in vain. I have had lengthy conversations with the Mayor over the last several days to discuss common ground on numerous elements of our platform and we have agreed on a number of initiatives to move forward. In addition, he has agreed to support my battle with Georgia Safe Dams by appointing me as a special representative to move forward working with Representative Mark Burkhalter and the Georgia General Assembly, a battle if won has the potential to not only benefit Martin’s Landing but benefit private lake owners throughout the state.

Mayor Wood and I have had our differences but we've never questioned each other’s desire to do what is best for Roswell. He has run his issues based campaign with integrity and I thank him. He has given me his word and I am confident he will keep it. Roswell is approaching the need for a fulltime Mayor to represent the citizens; an absentee Mayor cannot accomplish what needs to be accomplished as we move forward. Roswell not only needs a leader but a person of character, not a figurehead. There is only one person in this race now that fits the bill and that is Mayor Jere Wood.

If we combine our forces we will take Roswell to heights it has never before attained.

You will hear more from me regarding specifics in the days ahead

Thank you.
